Volunteer of Excellence Award Nominations

Volunteers do amazing things, and they go beyond the expectations of their position. The Volunteer of Excellence Award recognizes volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while collaborating directly with girls in any pathway to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience by using the National Program Portfolio or who have contributed outstanding service in support of the Council's mission delivery to girl and adult members.

Take a few minutes and nominate an awesome volunteer for the Volunteer of Excellence Award. Examples of a deserving volunteer are as follows:

  • A recruitment champion who attended numerous recruitments during the fall and membership and product sales have increased over last year.
  • The service unit cookie coordinator who found over 50 percent more booth locations over last year, increasing the service unit's overall sales.
  • The volunteer coordinator who not only met with over 20 new volunteers, but she attended each new troop's parent and caregiver meeting.
  • The troop helper who chaperoned on field trips or went shopping for supplies for troop meetings because the troop leader works full-time and four children to take to activities after school.
  • A troop volunteer who helped the girls earn a STEM Journey, sharing her or his knowledge with the girls.
  • A volunteer dad who took outdoor training to give the girls the opportunity to go camping.
  • And so much more!

Nominate an exceptional volunteer by completing the nomination form and submit it along with at least two Letters of Endorsement (not more than five Letters of Endorsement) to customercare@gsccc.org no later than Friday, May 31, 2019.
