Correction: Girl Scout Gold Award Proposal Deadlines and Interview Dates

Approval of the Girl Scout Gold Award proposal is by the Council Gold Award Committee. Once a girl submits her proposal, attends a Gold Award interview, and receives approval for her project, she is ready to start her project.

Get the Inside Scoop on New Journeys and Badges

You are invited to attend a special webinar covering updated program content to be released this summer. You will be among the very first to learn about our new science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and Outdoor Journeys and badges, which will be rolled out to troop leaders this summer.

Please join us for a webinar hosted by GSUSA’s Volunteer and Girl Experience team. You will get detailed insight into these new badges and Journeys, hear about the timeline for roll-out, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) Tip

To start planning your year or even one meeting, sign in to the Volunteer Toolkit and click on the “Year Plan” tab. From here, you will click on “Add Meeting” to the plan and select your Girl Scout level. Select Daisy, Brownie, or Junior. Multi-level troops have the option to select more than one level.

Next, choose the type of meeting you want to plan by selecting one of the following:

Virginia Children’s Chorus - Auditions Announcement

Do you know a child who loves to sing? The Virginia Children’s Chorus will hold auditions for new students for the 2017-2018 season June 10-13 and August 19-22, 2017 at Talbot Park Baptist Church, 6919 Granby Street, Norfolk. 

We welcome boys and girls entering grades 1 to 12 – from young beginners to serious high school singers. We have a choice of Norfolk or Virginia Beach rehearsal sites for singers in the two younger choirs (approximately grades 1 to 7). Group try-outs are available for children entering grades 1 through 3. All students receive excellent voice training and perform in concert while making new friends and having fun!
