There is still time to register for the Outdoor II: Basic Troop Camping Course, but make sure to register no later than Tuesday, January 22, 2019. In addition to attending the camping weekend February 16-17, 2019, you will need to attend the pre-course on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
After successfully completing the course, you will be able to:
- Sleep in tents and hammocks
- Use patrols during a camping weekend
- Use Kaper Charts
- Plan and prepare meals
- Cook meals using charcoal and propane
- Start a wood fire for a ceremonial campfire
- Know what camping equipment you need for a successful camping trip
- Set-up your campsite
- Teach your girls about the Leave No Trace Principles
- Do night activities with your girls
