For parents of children with special needs and health challenges.
Join Bon Secours Family Focus for a six-week class series that offers parents the support and skills they need to navigate the path of parenting when a child is diagnosed with special needs or health challenges. Families will learn to create nurturing routines that create a foundation of cooperation and enhance quality of life for the entire family.
This series is based on the Nurturing Program for Parents and Their Children with Special Needs and Health Challenges, which has been designed to offer support to families as they navigate the uncharted waters of parenting when a child is born or diagnosed with a special need or health challenge. The series is designed to help families explore their hopes and fears, develop effective parenting skills, enhance communication, develop strategies for facing challenges and recognize opportunities for celebration.
The goal is to develop a foundation of cooperation that will carry families through challenging times and create opportunities for growth and celebration.
