Badges – All grade level badges are awards girls earn by completing skill-building activities. There are level-appropriate badges in each Journey book and Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting. Badges are worn on the front of vests or sashes.
Journeys – All grade level Journeys identify a problem you want to do something about:
- Come up with a creative solution.
- Create a team plan to make that solution a reality.
- Put your plan into action.
- Talk about what you learned—and what you can’t wait to do next!
Fun or Explore Patches – All Explore Patches are given to Girl Scouts for participating in fun events, activities or other programs. Patches are to be worn on the back of vests or sashes. Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast offers many educational and fun patch programs for girls in grades K-12. In addition to the opportunities open to girls through the Girl Scout national resources - including the creative Journeys series - girls may also take advantage of innovative program ideas introduced by Colonial Coast. Any Girl Scouts, from any council, can complete the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast patches.
