Project We Stand Strong – Opportunities for Peninsula Teen Volunteers

Saturday, September 10, 2016
1-4 p.m.

Fort Monroe - Hampton, VA

We Stand Strong is a teen-led disaster preparedness program that teaches kids grades 2-5 about how to prepare and be safe during natural disasters, such as a hurricane.

Middle or high school volunteers can participate in two ways:
  1. Join us from 1-2 p.m. for our “altogether amazing assembly line event” as we create 500 family first aid kits
  2. But wait...there’s more! Stay from 2-4 p.m. for our hurricane ‘prep-rally’ youth leader training. You and a team of friends will learn how to lead a ‘prep-rally’ using games and activities to teach kids grades 2-5 about how to be safe and prepare for a natural disaster. We will hook you up with an after-school site where your team will lead your rally and give out first aid kits.
To register as a volunteer, email Ally Graul at agraul@altinc.org or call 757-838-2330.
