Girls will dive in to coastal science with a day of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. They will learn and interact with local women scientists who are solving global problems facing the world’s coastlines right here in our own backyard.

Discover how scientists use drones and lasers to map our 3D world and learn about technology that allows researchers to listen to whales, dolphins and other marine life to study their behavior. Explore our coastal ecosystem and identify human impacts on wildlife and the environment in which we live.

Indoor and outdoor activities will be available. Emphasis will be placed on introducing girls to careers in STEAM.

Minimum: 20 per session
Maximum: 100 per session

Deadline: May 5, 2016
