Early Renewal and Opportunity Catalog

Renewing registrations now for the next membership year benefits girls, troops and service units. Find out about early renewal timelines and incentives and how you can support troop leaders and families during the early renewal period. Get a sneak peek of this year’s early renewal patch for all girls who renew their membership before June 6. Learn about the new Opportunity Catalog, the next stage in implementing our Customer Engagement Initiative to provide better service to you and all Girl Scouts.

Planning for the Plan of Work

7-8 p.m.

Spring is the time to start planning for the next Girl Scout year. Learn what your volunteer support team can start doing now to make the Plan of Work process go smoothly. We’ll also introduce the updated President’s Award criteria and nomination process. The President’s Award and Service Unit Plan of Work go hand-in-hand. By matching service unit goals with the President’s Award criteria, your service team is more likely to earn this prestigious award.

Building School Relationships

7-8 p.m.

Service units rely on partnerships with schools for community support, meeting and event space, and to reach girls who are not yet Girl Scouts. Are there schools within your service unit area that are not connected with Girl Scouts? Learn how you can help to cultivate relationships with school administrators and PTA officers so Girl Scouts can become true partners with schools in building girls of courage, confidence and character.

End of Year Financial Statements
Monday, May 9
7-8 p.m.

Submitting financial statements is a requirement for all Girl Scout troops, groups and service units. Learn how to simplify the process and how to support all troop leaders in fulfilling this requirement in a timely, stress-free manner.

Assessing your Volunteer Year
Monday, May 23
7-8 p.m.

Reflection is an important part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience – for volunteers too! Take time to look back on this past year. Did you accomplish everything you would have liked? Did you grow in your volunteer roles? Did you receive the support you needed? We’ll review the online self-assessment tool and discuss how you can use it for your own personal growth, for communicating your support needs to council staff, and for supporting troop leaders in assessing their own year and identifying their support needs.
