Women and Liberty

Discover the diverse contributions of women in our nation’s past. Try your hand at activities at which colonial women were expected to perform including candle dipping and cross-stitching. Learn about home spinning and create take-home crafts. Meet America’s first First Lady, Martha Washington, and Oney Judge, an enslaved personal servant to Martha who fled to find freedom. Tickets are $3 in advance (through March 24) and $5 at the door.

Girls ages 5-14 may also participate in the Children’s Art Contest. Submissions are due March 22.  See the contest flier for complete details.
