  • Girl Scout Bronze Award*

  • Girl Scout Gold Award*

*Girls who earned the award between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, will be celebrated at this event.

Please join us on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 8:45 a.m. at the Volunteer Enrichment - Girl Scouts Lead the Way! virtual event. You can choose to attend the whole day or part of the day. Register and attend this event just for volunteers, and you will have the opportunity to receive a door prize! The tentative schedule is as follows:

2021 Cookie Captain Team – Now Accepting New Members


Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors, do you remember how hard it was to ask that first person to buy Girl Scout Cookies? Become a superhero to younger Girl Scouts who are selling cookies for the first time. Share what you know – and earn service leadership hours too!
  • Help new cookie sellers develop skills and confidence.
  • Share tips with new troop leaders or troop cookie coordinators about the program.
  • Lead activities at a cookie rally.
  • Participate in marketing activities (interviews, blog posts, etc.) related to the program.
  • Attend troop meetings where you plan an activity to help kickoff the program.
  • Earn Community Service to Girl Scouting Bar (Senior/Ambassador).
  • Support Council events such as the Cookie Kickoff and Cookie Count-n-Go Day.
  • Assist our Philanthropy team with donor THANK YOU calls.
  • Learn more about the behind-the-scenes cookie logistics.
Accepting new members through November 15, 2020. Girls must be in high school (grades 9-12). For more information, contact Chris Ramos-Smith at chrisr@gsccc.org.

Activities may be virtual or in-person (outdoors). All activities are subject to change per Council/local/state/federal COVID-19 restrictions.

GSCCC Virtual Adult Volunteer Awards Celebration

 


Join Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 6 p.m. to pay tribute to our 2020 volunteer award recipients and our Buck Harris Award recipient during our virtual watch party celebrating their outstanding accomplishments.

To sign up, visit the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast Facebook page and select “going” on the GSCCC Virtual Adult Volunteer Awards Celebration event page. Then on September 15 at 6 p.m., you’ll be able to view the celebratory video.

GSCCC values all adult members and recognizes the contribution they make in developing girl leaders. Do you know someone who has provided exemplary service and go above and beyond to make a difference in Girl Scouts during the past year? If so, you can nominate them by submitting completed nomination packets along with the required number of Letters of Endorsement found here no later than January 15, 2021.

  • Anthem Buddies: Stand next to the Globetrotters during the National Anthem.
  • Color Guard: Present the colors during the National Anthem.
  • High Five Tunnel: Up to 20 members of your group can "high-five" the Globetrotters as they take the court after half time.
  • Bench Kids: Sit on the bench during warm-ups.
  • Pre-Game Court Time: Your group(s) can perform or play on the court live in front of the audience before the game.
  • Group Photo: Recognize your group in front of the crowd with a special announcement or picture on the court at half time.

The Virginia Opera Guild of Norfolk, VA has its Merchant of Venice Rummage Sale on April 4th and needs Girl Scout volunteers for three shifts:

  • 1-3 p.m.
Breakfast, snack and lunch will be provided for volunteers during their shift. Girl Scouts will help and greet guests and help them get their items for check out and helping with clean-up.
