Cookie Classic Run- Run with the Cookies or Register as a Virtual Do-Si-Don’t Show Runner!

Since 2015, the Cookie Classic Run has been an annual event supporting the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast (GSCCC). With time 1 mile, 5K and 10K races, runners of all abilities can join us in supporting GSCCC while preparing for the 2020 race season. If that isn't sweet enough, the Cookie Classic is the only race in Hampton Roads where you get Girl Scout cookies while you race!

Race offerings:

• 1 mile Samoa Stroll (timed)
• 5K Trefoil Trek with Cookie Crawl (timed)
• 10K Tagalong (timed)

Interested in Joining the Cookie Classic Committee?

Join us for the Cookie Classic Run Committee interest meeting on Wednesday, July 24th, at 7 p.m. The Cookie Classic Run is the official race of the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast and we are looking for new and excited committee members to assist in the planning and execution of the race on January 18, 2020. The committee meets monthly at A Place for Girls or via Skype. Each committee member will have specific objectives to complete between meetings based off of their interests. Items include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Council staff and other committee members to determine event logistics.
• Collaborate with committee and Council to identify a sponsor pipeline and make connections with potential sponsors.

January 2019 Cookie Classic Run

Since 2015, the Cookie Classic Run has been an annual event supporting the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast (GSCCC). In celebration of 5 years, we hope to make the Cookie Classic an event for all runners. With timed 5k and 10k races, runners of all abilities can join us in supporting GSCCC while preparing for their 2019 race season. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

2017 Cookie Classic!

Calling all Girl Scouts and Friends! Put your running shoes on and get ready to race – or walk – in the 2017 Cookie Classic. Now in its third year, the Cookie Classic organized by GSCCC community volunteers, will take place on Saturday, January 21, with plans to be better than ever. This year’s event takes place on the trails of the Chesapeake’s Great Dismal Swamp Park. Find details on the website at cookieclassicrun.wordpress.com to get information and register.

Everyone gets a T-shirt and there are awards – medals and patches – depending on the race you select at registration.

Come back for S'more fun at the 2017 Cookie Classic 5K and 1-Mile on January 21, 2017!

Join Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast for the 3rd Annual Cookie Classic in Chesapeake, VA. The Trefoil Trek is a 5K starting at 9 a.m., followed by the Samoa Stroll Kid's 1-Mile at 10 a.m. This event is open to the public and Girl Scouts can meet badge requirements! For those that want to do S'more running, the Thin Mint Challenge includes both races to help get you through those mid-winter exercise blues.
