Interested in Joining the Cookie Classic Committee?

Join us for the Cookie Classic Run Committee interest meeting on Wednesday, July 24th, at 7 p.m. The Cookie Classic Run is the official race of the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast and we are looking for new and excited committee members to assist in the planning and execution of the race on January 18, 2020. The committee meets monthly at A Place for Girls or via Skype. Each committee member will have specific objectives to complete between meetings based off of their interests. Items include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Council staff and other committee members to determine event logistics.
• Collaborate with committee and Council to identify a sponsor pipeline and make connections with potential sponsors.

• Acquire race supplies and prizes through in-kind donation requests.
• Help market race to new runners through grassroots marketing and tabling opportunities.
• Liaison with Council to recruit volunteers to assist with race day activities.
• Manage an assigned area on race day.

Next two committee meeting dates: August 21st, at 7 p.m., and September 25th, at 8 p.m.
