Recognize Exceptional Volunteers

Volunteers are the Heart of Girl Scouts!

Recognize those special volunteers who make a difference in the life of girls! Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast volunteers who made a significant impact during the 2017-2018 membership year can be nominated for a GSUSA award.

The adult award nomination deadline for the Appreciation Pin, Honor Pin, Thanks Badge, and Thanks Badge II is November 1, 2018. These awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon and Celebration on February 2, 2019, following the Annual Council Meeting. Nomination forms can be found here.

Criteria:
  • The nominee is an active, registered adult Girl Scout.
  • The nominee has successfully provided volunteer service and completed all requirements for the position from the prior membership year.
  • The nominee has performed beyond expectations for the position to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) to girls using the National Program Portfolio; or
  • The nominee's performance has been beyond the expectations of the position and has supported the Council's mission delivery goals in one or more of the following functional areas: Membership Development/Community Cultivation, Volunteer Relations and Support, Program, Leadership and Governance, Fund Development, and Council Support Service (such as IT, Customer Service, Merchandising, and Marketing/Communications).
  • The nominee actively recognizes, understands and practices the values of inclusive behavior.

In addition, if you have been an adult member registered with Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. for years of active volunteer service for 20 years or more (in five-year intervals), complete and submit the Volunteer Years of Service Pin Application by November 1, 2018, to be recognized at the Annual Awards Luncheon and Celebration.

Completed nomination packets must be submitted to customercare@gsccc.org by November 1, 2018.
