Girl Scout Spooktacular
Friday, October 6, 2017, 6 p.m.
Francis Land House, Virginia Beach, VA
Cost: $5
You’re invited to the Francis Land House for a Spook-tacular evening. Learning about women in the past – it’s a wee bit spooky and a lot of fun. Join us for a campfire, crafts and a tour of the house-after dark.

Girl Scouts Taekwondo Sampler!
Every 3rd Saturday of the month, 10-11:30 a.m.
Grades: 2-5
Lynnhaven Taekwondo Academy, Virginia Beach, VA
Cost: $10 girl/$5 adult
Girls learn and explore an introduction to traditional Taekwondo and self-defense. Learn basic kicks, blocks and punches. Want a patch in Taekwondo? Learn the basics, then join us for a Taekwondo patch workshop to earn your patch. Workshop to earn your patch is $25 per participant.

Reading and Writing Workshops
October 11, 18, 25 & November 4, 2017, 6-8 p.m.
Grades: 3-5; Tagalongs in same grade levels are welcome to pay to attend.

Do you see a storyteller in your child? This is the series for them. This series covers reading, writing, character development and storyboarding. *Girl Scouts will complete the My Story Badge during Week 1 only, and can participate and complete the series (Girl Scout Badge included).

Invention Convention Lock-In
Friday, October 20, thru Saturday, October 21, 2017, 6 p.m.-10 a.m.
Virginia Wesleyan University, Virginia Beach, VA
Girl Scout Juniors only
Cost: $30 (includes event patch)
Girls will have a chance to get creative using recycled materials to invent the next world- changing creation. They will stay up late putting their engineering design process to work. This event culminates into seeing their awesome design displayed at the Invention Convention the next morning. Midnight snacks and breakfast will be provided.
