Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) Tip

To start planning your year or even one meeting, sign in to the Volunteer Toolkit and click on the “Year Plan” tab. From here, you will click on “Add Meeting” to the plan and select your Girl Scout level. Select Daisy, Brownie, or Junior. Multi-level troops have the option to select more than one level.

Next, choose the type of meeting you want to plan by selecting one of the following:

  • Award Earning – Includes My Promise, My Faith award plans.
  • Badges/Petals – When you select this option, you then get to choose the badge categories.  Once you select the category, badge meeting plans come up and you can choose what you want to do.
  • Closing – Choose this option and celebrate the end of the year.
  • Intro – Start your year off right when you use these meeting plans. Girls will learn the Girl Scout Promise and Law, get to know each other, and sample Journey activities, badges, and petals.
  • Journey – Choose It’s Your Planet – Love It! or It’s Your Story – Tell It! (four more Journeys will be included in your choices soon).
Selecting “Badges/Petals” and “Journey” will provide another selection to make – either the badge category you want to work on or the Journey. Once you have made your choices, click on “View Meeting Plans” to select a meeting. Check the one you want, add it to your year plan, and view the plans. You are now ready to hold your meeting!

Use the Volunteer Toolkit the next time you need to plan a meeting!
