Troop Project Opportunity - Centerpieces for Annual Award Luncheon

An Award Luncheon is held annually to recognize outstanding members who have a great impact on girls, our Council and the Girl Scout Movement. To add a special touch to the celebration, we are requesting donations of centerpieces created by girls to decorate each of the tables. In 2016, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award for girls, so the centerpieces should reflect that theme. This is a great chance for girls to show their creativity and share their artwork with all of GSCCC!

If your troop is interested in creating a centerpiece, please send notification by January 15, 2016, to christined@gsccc.org so that we know the number of centerpieces being made. Centerpieces can be delivered to any of the Council offices/service centers by Monday, February 1, 2016. Each centerpiece should be no more than 12 inches tall or wide and the troop’s number and location should be identified somewhere on the creation.

The 2016 luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 6, following the Annual Council Meeting at the Chesapeake Convention Center, 700 Conference Center Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia. Click here for more information about the Annual Council Meeting and Award Luncheon.
